ARCHIVES Performance Evaluations Performance evaluations for classified employees were due in the Personnel Office by 5 p.m. on November 2,1992. As we are all aware, there is not a monetary reward attached to the evaluations this year, however, this does not diminish the importance of communicating to your employees how well they have met their performance expectations during the past year. In addition to providing feedback to the employee, the Department of Personnel and Training requires that the ratings be entered into the Personnel Management Information System. In order for Thomas Nelson Community College to be in compliance with the Performance Evaluation policy, it is imperative that all performance evaluations be submitted to the Personnel Office no later than 5 p.m. on November 11. There cannot be any exceptions made to this deadline. As communicated earlier, all performance expectations for 1993 must be submitted to the Personnel Office no later than December 1,1992. All performance evaluations and performance plans for classified employees must be reviewed and initialed by the appropriate dean prior to the supervisor communicating with employee. New Travel Company for Thomas Nelson Travel Services by Kay Rosier The Virginia Public Procurement Act requires the college to competitively bid the travel services due to the level of annual travel cost, a Travel, a Division of Cruise International, has been awarded the contract to provide travel management services.
